Projectile vomiting

I woke up to projectile vomiting… my own. My stomach is right now having a violent reaction to something I ate last night and is forcefully expelling it. It doesn't feel like food poisoning or the flu. I.e., not some bacteria or virus. It feels purely physical. I woke up, couldn't breathe. Tried to roll over and go back to sleep. Stomach started pushing its contents up. I had to consciously relax the diaphragm or whatever the chest muscles are to keep stuff down, but they were starting some sort of spasm with the stomach so i hurriedly headed into the bathrooms where it all forced itself up. Last time this happened that I can recall I ate a bunch of summer sausage and then had Thai food for dinner. The two didn't mix and came all right back up. That was 1996. I've taken the Pepto-Bismol but it doesn't seem quite settled down yet.

I hate throwing up. This is only the second time since I sobered up that I can recall doing so. And it's to start off my 16th year of sobriety!
