My biggest problem with BS like this is that it relieves the rest of society from social responsibility. Those who are persecuted/impoverished/addicted etc. (be they an individual or a group) are that way because of their attitude. So it’s their responsibility to make change happen, not mine.
I think the “Your life is gonna suck sometimes, so deal." Book should be required reading in your mentoring group as a valid competing view. :)
