kingratI went to an SDOT organized workshop on parking mitigation strategies for when Roosevelt RapidRide coms to Eastlake today. It was a shitshow of NIMBY attempts to make comments that would roll back the plans for a protected bike lane and higher capacity buses.
The thing is, the bike and transit community won't show up to these. I've been at meetings on this project organized by bike advocates that had 25-30 people attend, but the ones where the city actually gets feedback? It's me and 2-3 other people.
We get the heat death of the planet that we deserve.
