What movies have you paid to see in theaters, more than once? Movies so good or so intriguing that you couldn't wait for it to come out on tape or DVD.

My list? The ones I can remember were all seen twice because I wanted to hang out with people who were seeing the movie. The Fellowship of the Ring, Batman Begins, Pirates of the Caribbean. I can't remember anything before 2000 that I saw more than once in the theater.

Added: Remember, you have to have paid more than once. Seeing twice on free passes or on someone else's dime doesn't count.

Last one was Hitchhiker's Guide. I saw it the first time while on tour, but fell asleep. I went again when I got home 'cause Cyn waned to see it.

I'm sort of embarrassed to admit this, but it was Dodgeball.

I'm not sure why, but Ben Stiller introducing his team ("This is Lazer" "This is Blade" "This is Blazer") makes me laugh almost uncontrollably.

Ever? Lots. A few of them include:

The original Star Wars. (duh)
The first Matrix
2001: A Space Odyssey.
2010. (Sat through twice, back to back)
Several of the Connery-era James Bond movies.
American Astronaut.
Chicago.
Hero.
The Untouchables. (Damn, I should watch that again.)
Kung-fu Hustle.
Spirited Away.

Point taken. There are several (2001, the old Bond films) that I will see on the big screen any chance I get. Same goes for spaghetti westerns. The little screen at home just doesn't do it.

Jurassic Park, Titanic, all 3 of the Lord of the Rings movies, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I intend to see Batman Begins again before it leaves the theater as well.

I honestly can't remember what movies I paid for to see 2+ times in the theater. If I had to guess, it could have been either the first Matrix or going even further back in time, The Crow, but I'm not sure.

All 3 of the original Star Wars films (the ones from the 70's and 80's, not the new ones).

I saw What The Bleep Do We Know? (http://www.whatthebleep.com/) in theaters 3 times. Each time I took different friends with me to share it with.

i buy - not burn - all of my DVDs that i own. i like to watch movies over and over again.

tho in the theaters...

the last movie i paid to see was The Fog of War.
went to Los Angeles to see it in fact.
(ok i timed my initial visit to coincide with the opening, then saw it again upon my return from a trip to europe).

otherwise
blade runner (it had some rerelease thing in SF)

saw M (fritz lang's)
akira

oh, and the color purple.
i saw it at home when it came out.
then went to school in france and during that year attended a festival du cinema in montpellier where the group i was with wanted to see it. then after that, we took a trip to germany (fulda) and again, for some reason, people i was with there wanted to see it. i figured good for me to practice the german i suppose.

ah. and of course that rocky horror thing once upon a time when i was younger...

The only films I remember paying to see in the theater more than once were Return of the Jedi (twice) and The Rocky Horror Picture Show (don't know the exact number, and even if I did I would be too ashamed to reveal how much time and money I spent seeing this film over and over and over).
